What you need to know about the changes in Stamp Duty.

  • Stamp Duty relief on properties below the value of £250,000, where the purchaser is a first time buyer.
  • The relief is only available IF the purchaser is a valid first time buyer AND they intend to occupy the property as their only or main residence.
  • The relief is time-limited for two years - 25th March 2010 to 25th March 2012.
